Main commands

The following list shows the commands created and maintained in this package

• spmroot - starts the data acquisition system
• scanroot - starts the main data analysis program
• compile - basic utility to compile analysis libraries
• compileMacro - basic utility to compile ROOT macros
• adac - This is the regular compiler used for data aquisition.
• adac+ - This is the new adac compiler with improved and extended set of commands.
• reverse - This command disassembles an adac+ compiled code.
• root2spk - This command converts 1D root histograms in spk (DAMM) or ASCII (Origin, Excel, etc) files.

The following list shows the commands from other sources included in this package but not maintained by the author

• root - starts the root program
• tadac4096 or adac - this is the modified version of tadac compiler that is able to compile .evs files with up to 4096 words.
• kineq - The old and good kineq from the original VAXPAK. Program that calculate nuclear reaction kinematics.
• stopx - From the original VAXPAK, calculates energy loss and dE/dx
• negro - Modified version of stopx that uses the Montenegro calculations
• pico - a simple text editor from WU-EUA

The commands available in the $PELLETRON/sbin directory:

• createDistribution - creates a tar.gz file with the PelROOT libraries for distribution. Do not include ROOT
• updateLibrary - recompiles the full library
• update - recompiles a single PelROOT library
