version 3.01
This version was released in 2006-12-13. Click on the links bellow to download the distribution:- for linux with kernel 2.4 and above
- this version is not ported to windows
Modifications with respect to the previous version:
- ScanRoot and SPMRoot
- ScanRoot and SPMRoot saves all objets in the Scan_Histograms or SPM_Histograms directory, including subdirectories. This makes it easier to organize a large number of histograms during data acquisition or analysis. You just need to create the subdiretories in the default directory and add your histograms in there.
- the log file for SPMRoot (only) contains the date in which the data acquisition has started. It now serves as a primitive log-book for the experiment.
- CAMAC drivers
- fixed a bug in the camac drivers if the event has zero size or do not finish with 0xFFFF
- fixed a bug in the camac drivers while reading scallers
- Implemented a inhibit ON/OFF during STOP/START of acquisition for the C111AT controler camac driver. This makes the scallers topped if there is no acquisition running.
- PelTools and data analysis
- Fixed a bug in PelTools->Export Histograms to ASCII files. In the case the Histogram Name has spaces the ASCII file was not being created. The fix is to remove spaces and other strange characters from the file name.
- Fixed a bug with TCutG that was creating a brek segmentation in PelTools
- Added functionality to Integral of 1D histograms. We implemented calculations similar to options 'A' and 'S' from the old DAMN program. When pressing the Integral button in PelTools the counts, integral and RMS are calculated in 3 different ways and the results are displayed for each one:
- Calculation from the raw spectra without any background subtraction
- Calculation subtracting a linear background like option 'S' in DAMN. In this case, the data points from the display edges of the PAD are used to obtain a linear background.
- Calculation subtracting a linear background like option 'A' in DAMN. If there is a line (TLine) displayed in the histogram (use the Canvas Toolbar to draw the line) it is used as background. This will not show if there is no TLine in the PAD. If there is more than one TLine in the PAD the program uses the most recent one. The limits for calculations, in this case, are the edges of the line instead the ones from the PAD.
