When we talk about the discovery of a new state of matter at RHIC, also called the Quark Gluon Plasma, we usualy show results on elliptic flow, jet suppression, energy loss, etc. This is rather technical and the non-specialized audience sometimes feel confused about this. RHIC animations is a site at BNL that provides many short movies to explain these measurements and many other concepts involved in the physics being studied at RHIC as well some explanations about the detectors. Another interesting and well developed site is RHIC Lessons. RHIC lessons is a joint venture between BNL and JINR (Dubna, Russia) and was created by the STAR collaborators from Dubna. Enjoy!
