O descobrimento do pósitron por Carl D. Anderson, anunciado em 1932, foi um grande marco na física nuclear e de partículas. Foi inicialmente publicado na Science, no artigo "The apparent existence of easily deflectable positives," Science 76, 238 (1932) mas um artigo bem mais detalhado foi publicado no ano seguinte, entitulado "The Positive Electron", na Phys.
